Many, many thanks to
alaron03 for help with organizing the basement last night.
We worked for almost 4 hours at it, and she kept me moving right along--even found a place to pack my entire childhood Bot's dot collection!
Will it ever stop? Probably not. Good thing I like it this way.
Congratulations to Owain and Wren! The worst thing about staying home was missing that victory.

Major dump run accomplished today: got rid of all the garbage from yesterday's basement purge, AND did a huge purge of the shed. Funny, it's a lot easier to throw stuff away when it's been chewed to tatters and covered in rat urine. Tomorrow's job is to sweep and clean there, and then put the few remaining good things back.
Also hired a landscape guy to come with his crew for next week. Well recommended. These guys are typically flaky (no offense, Luther), but this one called right back, and showed when he said. I have high hopes for Tuesday.
I did hit the wall tonight--just cooked dinner for boys and relaxed. Although J did finish painting the shed roof, and it was quite an exertion for me to balance letting him do it his way with enforcing no walking in the wet paint, and yes, you do have to clean the paint off your legs tonight, even though it means taking a second shower. Horrors!! A has a fever, and is sleeping a lot. Tough in the hot weather. This too shall pass.
Tomorrow: Beat the Bridge (5 mile run for children's diabetes) leave the house at 6:30AM. Afternoon: possible meeting with realtors to sign papers and get this beast listed (or maybe wait until after yard is done....) PM: temple annual meeting in West Seattle.
